The West Chindush conflict is a series of confrontations between Balakia and Gushlia stemming from a territorial dispute over the former Balaki federal subject of West Chindush. The disputes stem from the aftermaths of the Great Ekuosian War and the Balaki Civil War, wherein Gushlia aligned itself with Shohuan and launched an assault on Balakia, occupying the region, but was never awarded with the territory it had captured. The region was officially ceded to Gushlia, and the Balaki claim to the land was revoked, on August 17th 2017, following Balakia's execution of a scorched earth policy in the region. This only served to stoke Gushli outrage and escalate tensions between the two nations even further.
