Baigros (pronunciation: /bɑɪgɹos/, Kudzat: baòjkros, IPA: /bɑ:jgros/), also known as Oasis City, is the capital of the Republic of Kudzatia and largest city within the disputed territories of Central Ekuosia. With a population of approximately 1.8 million, it is among the largest cities and metropolitan areas within the Baredina Desert that are also not settled on the Ekuos River.
The city and general area both have been one of the primary holdouts of the Kudzat people since the area was settled around 1950 BCE.
Etymology
The city name's etymology is disputed, though the leading theory among scholars and historians is that it is possibly named for the mythic King Pjókrus of the Kasát dynasty, who in myth is said to have founded the city whilst expanding east from Palace City.
