Hememuga currently has a split parliamentary system where the 499-seat Parliament can propose nationwide laws, however the Council of decisions can order referendums, constitutional amendments and propose votes of no confidence. The Council of decisions MPs are chosen by the parliament, which is then chosen in parliamentary elections every 3 years by single-district Borda count for Yrakksi's 226 MPs, and single-member first past the post for Haiseary's 273 representatives. In the Council of decisions, Haiseary and Yrakksi hold half of the 50 seats of the council each. The Government is formed by proportional representation from the Council, and often includes ministers of wildly different political parties; the current 2019 Dymersjo government consists of 5 parties with in total 88% representation in the Council of decisions. This, coupled with the lack of proper coalition governments has led to votes of no confidence being a relatively common occurrence, as governing party Council MPs often use the threat of it to exert influence over other parties' ministers, often with the support of other governing and/or opposition parties' MPs. In theory, one of the two major Haisearelian parties can have an absolute majority in the senate if it wins in 91% or more of Haiseary's electoral districts, however this has never happened.

Hememuga (Haisearelic: Heumómúga [ˈhɤ̞.móˌmú.kɑ], Yrakitta: Vmvmuha [ɘ̃.mɘ̃ˈmʊ̃.ʔa], Tsaavalu: Hamómúka [ˌhɐ.mɵ́ˈmʉ́.kɐ],), officially the Confederate Territories of the Yrak and Haisearelian Monarchies of Hememuga, is a country located in northeastern Miraria bordering Achiyitqana to the north and and Faźulavaz to the west. It is one of two majority-Maakpauean countries in the world (the other being Achiyitqana), and has had close ties with the Osveraali Empire. Hememuga is split into two countries with their respective heads of state: Haiseary in the east and Yrakksi in the west, with the capital Homotlochomi on the border. It is one of the countries where males face the worst discrimination on the basis of gender, a possible influence from the Osveraalis and a stark contrast to neighbouring Achiyitqana. It was founded in 1992 as a confederal union between the former countries of Haiseary and Yrakksi
