It is the country's principal political and commercial center, and second largest transportation hub after Fávekká. Ikolinis is also the capital of the Ikolinian Kingdom, one of the Imperial provinces. According to the 2015 census, Ikolinis had 1.2 million inhabitants, with a metropolitan area of 3 million people.
