The Independent Republic of Tsuinnia was the state that existed from the breakup of the Federal Republic of Tisnoij until the end of the Tsuinnian Holy Revolution and the formation of the Holy Commonwealth of Tsuinnia, during a ten-year period. Out of the ten years in which the Independent Republic existed, it was diplomatically at peace for three years, five months and 27 days, though even during that time, the border incursions from the Aifugonian Civil War meant that the Independent Republic's life was one embroiled in war and carnage. During its lifetime, it was bordered by two instances of Temedzene state (the Federal Republic of Tisnoij from 1997 until 2001, and the Federal Republic of Temedzen from 2001 until 2007) and two instances of Aifugonian state (the Federal Republic of Tisnoij in a three month period in 1997 and the Unitary Republic of Aifugon for the remainder of that time, though the de facto control by the Aigufonian government over that border region was low to none). Aside from that, the Independent Republic was also bordered by Imoztar to the east.

Caused in part by the spillover of the Aifugonian civil war, as well as religious tensions between the Zarasaist Shabadist traditionalists, the irreligious sectors of the populace and the syncretic Kizaros of the eastern reaches, the Independent Republic of Tsuinnia erupted into its own civil conflict, the Tsuinnian Holy Revolution, which in turn led to the destruction of the Tsuinnian Independent Republic and the rise of the Holy Commonwealth, a theocratic republic.
