Cāfāxā (Zinshan: Cāfāxā, IPA: [ˌçɒ.fɒ.ˈχɒ]) is a city in Zinsha-Vogia, located in the Bēhvāg Province in Zinsha. The city, founded around 1500 CE during the Great Horde, is the capital of the Cāfāxā Governorate and a major Zinshan port. Cāfāxā has a population of 231,000 (census 2015). The main economic activities of the city are fishing (second largest fishing port in Zinsha), agriculture (coconuts, barley, turnip) and industries (train building). The city is also well-known for being Zinsha's best city for young engineers, being home to the number 1 engineer school in Zinsha.
Etymology
The name 'Cāfāxā' comes from cāfā, "stone", and xā, "city". This is due to the fact that the city has always been a main mining city.
