The Kawa mountains are a mountain range in the northeast of the Confederation of Ebo Nganagam.

The word "kawa" means "death" im the Ebo Nganagam language, because of the massacre of the Ebo Lokngak tribe(called Ebo Lingai in the local dialect of the Ebo Nganagam language).

It is believed that the Ebo Nganagam people originate from the Kawa mountain area.

The Massacre of the Ebo Lokngak tribe and the Mysterious disappearance of the survivors

The Holy Algadorian Empire had ruled the Kawa Mountain area during 700-1100AD, some Ebo Nganagam tribes living in the Kawa mountain area had contact with them, however, most of the Ebo Nganagam tribes living in the Kawa mountain area were still uncontacte. Those who had contacts with the Holy Algadorian Empire were called "Ripe" Eastern Ebo Nganagams; while those who did not have any contact with the Holy Algadorian Empire were called "Raw" Eastern Ebo Nganagams, "Raw" Eastern Ebo Nganagams remain largely uncontacted with the outside when the Meritocratic Republic of Myak Kham was established in about 1600 AD.
