The main language of government and lingua franca of Mänea is Mänean AKA Kömäni Mänean. Other dialects/full distinct languages of Mänean include Northern Mänean and Southern Mänean. The Mänean language(s) form a dialect continuum (S. Mänean = K. Mänean w/ a S. twist = K. Mänean = K. Mänean w/ a N. twist = N. Mänean ≠ S. Mänean). Although not yet recognized by the Mänean government as an official language, there is a grown population of Hlao speakers.

Traditional Mänean cuisine uses lots if seafood. Other meats are eaten (primarily sheep and chicken) but are less common. Lentils are also a common source of protein. Cereals such as rice, millet, and wheat are staples and are often used in bread and noodles. Fresh fruits and vegetables also make up a large percentage of Mänean diets. Most dairy is sheep or goat dairy.
