Mänea (Mänean: Öxänxä Änemäni /øʃænʃæ ænemæni/, officially the United Islands of Mänea, is a country located on the archipelago in the north of Akulanen.

Economy

Transport

Cars are banned in Mänean due to the Mänean government not wanting to spend money on infrastructure like roads and bridges. Also, according to President Nälä, "road ways would have to take land that could be used for more important things." Land usage is a large part in the platform of President Nälä's party which has been in power for quite some time. Boats and public transportation train are the most common forms of transportation.

Language

The main language of government and lingua franca of Mänea is Mänean AKA Kömäni Mänean. Other dialects/full distinct languages of Mänean include Northern Mänean and Southern Mänean. The Mänean language(s) form a dialect continuum (S. Mänean = K. Mänean w/ a S. twist = K. Mänean = K. Mänean w/ a N. twist = N. Mänean ≠ S. Mänean). Although not yet recognized by the Mänean government as an official language, there is a grown population of Hlao speakers.

Religion

Mänea recognizes no official religion, and the majority of citizens (79.1%) practice no religion.

Culture

Cuisine

Traditional Mänean cuisine uses lots if seafood. Other meats are eaten (primarily sheep and chicken) but are less common. Lentils are also a common source of protein. Cereals such as rice, millet, and wheat are staples and are often used in bread and noodles. Fresh fruits and vegetables also make up a large percentage of Mänean diets. Most dairy is sheep or goat dairy.
