Reborn Asmal was the official name of the uprising of the region of Asmal during the Great Ekuosian War. It split off from Lons during this war, led by Hamaat Dirq in 1946, and engaged in the war primarily against Lons. The Asmal forces were defeated before the end of the war, and southern parts were granted independence in 1951.
