The Balak Empire (Balak: Mişdaraat Balaakbeş Kaşiz Mişdarât Balâkbeş Kaşiz, literally meaning "Great Balak Empire") was an eastern Vaniuan regional power that existed from its unification in 1866 to its abolition in 1952. It was founded by Emperor Kamat I in the aftermath of the Balak-Zwazwan War.
Following the loss of its colonies in Baredina to Shohuan as stipulated in the Treaty of X the Balak Empire entered a period of economic stagnation. During the following period, Sannist ideology began to gain traction in the country, culminating in the appointment of Tayan Vaşnabaş as Prime Minister in [year].
