Beris Keliniz Vara (Qazan: Besiýiw Keliniz Wara, IPA: /bʲesʲijɪw kʲelʲɪnʲɪz wärä/, Classical Letsatian: Bẽris Kérpas Vara, IPA: /bɛ̂:ris kɛ́rpäs vä́:rä/, Modern Standard Mwamban: Beris Keliniz Vara, IPA: /beris keliniz värä/; born presumably on the 3rd of December, 1819), is a Qazan piano composer and virtuoso.

Early life

Vara was born in Sansarnur, a small city in the south of Qazania which was occupied by the Letsatian Empire at the time. At a young age, Vara was fascinated with music and very talented. Vara's family is one of the wealthier families under the empire and Vara was sent to Pyivüüh in modern-day Mwamba-Sangmia to study music. Vara entered the Mwamban Empire with ease as both the Mwamban Empire and the Letsatian Empire shared ties at the time. Vara created a variety of études to improve his piano technique around age 11 and he played his first major concert when he was 12. He published his first works in 1839 when he was 21. Vara toured around the Mwamban Empire as well as the Setyal Empire to perform before the Setyal Empire started to destabalise.

Middle life

Vara ended up being trapped in the Mwamban Empire as the ties between the Mwamban Empire and the Letsatian Empire began to sever from 1841 onwards. Vara continued to compose in this time period and after the fall of the Setyal Empire in 1844, toured within the Mwamban Empire. Vara met his first love, Küziv - a Qazan writer residing in the Mwamban-Empire around 1842. Vara had 1 child in 1846 named Nereliv, but this did not slow his performance career at all. Vara and Küziv divorced around 2 years later. Vara retired from performance in 1849 at the age of 40 and moved to the Mwamban colony of Qazania in 1450. He founded the Varan School of Music in Jalsatyń in the following year. During this time priod Vara composed his most famous works such as 'Virtuoso Fütek','Qazan Fantasy' and '12 Mystic Études' in this time period. His last public performance was given in 1861 to celebrate Qazania's newfound independence.
