Cobena (pronunciation: /koʊbɛnə/, Dezaking: Köbëna, IPA: /qobɛ̃n̪ɑ/) is the capital and largest city in Rovenia
Etymology
Cobena's name, which was used since it was founded in 1295, means "Place of gods" in Teninio (a very old language formerly spoken where Cobena is located), with Köbësbës meaning gods and Bëna meaning place. In Dezaking, the meaning is purposely kept.
History
The area around modern-day Cobena has been settled for a long time by various people. In 1295, the city-state of Cobena was established, and kept growing. It remained an important port city, and a popular city to live in. In 1911, when Rovenia was established by Cobenan king Roinesoya, he made Cobena become the capital.
