Cuama (Riyan: //) is the capital and largest city of Riyana, located near the estuary of the Cuama River.

Etymology

The name Cuáma derives from Cuán Mrár ('group of the sea') which was the name given to the city by many people outside of it. It also had an ancient name Nievec (Riyan pronunciation: [nʲevek]), meaning 'god village', referring to the religious function the city was originally founded for.

History

Cuáma was founded in around 1700 BC as a group of people believed they had found the mountain upon which Gyddinré had fallen. They walked from the foot of the mountain to the sea where it was said that Gyddinré had walked into upon leaving Sahar. They built a temple and some houses and connected them with straight and precise roads, as they believed this would fit in more with the principle of Anad and please the Gods.
