Background

Dezaking (formerly called New Cobenan) started as a language on Dezaking Island in southern modern-day Rovenia. Three different countries claimed Dezaking Island as theirs, and a language evolved from those three languages called "Dèsanika" (Dezaking Language). When Rovenia formed from those three countries, Dezaking was chosen to be the official language.

There is no background for Dezaking to be called "New Cobenan" anymore because it changed. The only reason it's still called that is because it was called that for so long, it's hard to change.

At the end of a word, consonants are silent unless the first letter of the next word is a vowel or it's the end of a sentence (which in this case, it's always devoiced).
