Jaxukuk (Jax: Yaksukuk /jɒksu:ku:k/), officially the Republic of Jaxukuk, is a Western Alpic country located in the Jaxukuk Sea, between mainland Alpa and Atsiq. Jaxukuk has a population of approximately 350,000 and an area of 195,000 km2 (75,000 sq mi), placing it among the most sparsely populated countries on Sahar. The capital and largest city is Karakashin. The flat, drier areas around Karakashin and in the island's south-east are home to over half the country's population.
