The Kawa mountains are a mountain range in the northeast of the Confederation of Ebo Nganagam.

The word "kawa" means "death" im the Ebo Nganagam language, because of the massacre of the Ebo Lokngak tribe(called Ebo Lingai in the local dialect of the Ebo Nganagam language).

It is believed that the ethnic Ebo Nganagam people originated from the Kawa mountain area, and then started to spread west after 700 AD.

The Kawa mountains are not particularly high mountains, they are not particularly difficult to climb, either, it is still unknown why ethnic Ebo Nganagam people living in the areas surrounding the Kawa mountains, like the Ebo Lokngak tirbe, did not have much contact with outsiders for a long time until the 19th century, but it is generally thought that it has something to do with certain rumors about the Kawa mountains and the Ebo Nganagam tribes living there(the "Raw" people). In the past, most people who entered the Kawa mountain area eventually disappeared or died mystically or got strange diseases and died, people started to spread rumors about the "Raw" people and the Kawa mountains, claiming that the "Raw" people were cannibals and could kill outsiders by some black sorceries, and there were full of fierce ghosts around the Kawa mountains, although no evidence shows that the "Raw" people were cannibals.

The Massacre of the Ebo Lokngak tribe and the Mysterious disappearance of the survivors

The Holy Algadorian Empire had ruled the Kawa Mountain area during 700-1100AD, some Ebo Nganagam tribes living in the Kawa mountain area had contact with them, however, most of the Ebo Nganagam tribes living in the Kawa mountain area were still uncontacte. Those who had contacts with the Holy Algadorian Empire or migrated west were called the "Ripe" people; while those who did not have any contact with the Holy Algadorian Empire were called "Raw" people, "Raw" Eastern Ebo Nganagams remain largely uncontacted with the outside when the Meritocratic Republic of Myak Kham was established in about 1600 AD, the only contacts the had was with the people of Ebo Aga Empire, the empire of the "Ripe" people.

The expansion of the Meritocratic Republic of Myak Kham was quick, and soon they reached the Kawa mountain area, the "Ripe" people living by the Kawa mountain area soon surrendered, but "Raw" people didn't, and under the leadership of the Ebo Lokngak tribe, a tribe of the "Raw" people, several tribes of the "Raw" people formed a tribe union, called "The Ebo Lokngak Tribe Union".

The Ebo Lokngak Tribe Union fiercely resisted the expansion of the Meritocratic Republic of Myak Kham, but due to the disadvantage of technology and organizations, the Ebo Lokngak Tribe Union eventually was defeated in 1840s, in order to totally control the area, the army of the Meritocratic Republic of Myak Kham entered massacred the people of the Ebo Lokngak tribe and its alliances, many people ran away into the remote areas of te Kawa mountain, most of the survivors of the Ebo Lokngak tribe hid themselves in a valley called "Light Valley", "Light Valley" was sieged by the soldiers of the Meritocratic Republic of Myak Kham, when the soldiers went into the valley, they found that the survivors of the Ebo Lokngak tribe who had hid themselves in the "Light Valley" disappeared mysteriously, it is unknown what happened to them, historians usually believe that all of them starved to death in a cave during the siege, there is a big cave system in the "Light Valley" area called "The Cave of Light", it is known that most survivors of the Ebo Lokngak tribe hid themselves in "The Cave of Light", but no human skeletons belonging to that age has been found in "The Cave of Light".

About 1,000 people were killed in the massacre of the Ebo Lokngak tribe, and about 2,000 people disappeared, most of them disappeared in the "Light Valley" area. After the massacre of the Ebo Lokngak tribe, all remaining "Raw" people surrendered, and the Kawa mountain area also became a territory of the Meritocratic Republic of Myak Kham.
