Kedros (Lestzi: kedros ['kɛdɾus]), officially the Republic of Kedros, is a country in northwestern Baredina. It is bordered to the north by Onterin, to the north and northwest by Sorteic, to the south by Letzia, and to the west by the Taanttu Sea. Its terrain is highly mountainous, straddling the Koklates range in the east and the Arrioch range to the west. Mt. Egire is its highest point at 3,494m.
Modern Kedros includes the historical territories of Lirzhia, Ardacha and Giedros. The Kedrosi state was formed in 1101 as the County of Giedros under the Empire of Low Letsatia, but soon was annexed and incorporated into the Terminian Empire during the Terminian conquest of Low Letsatia. Only after the Battle of Hedjan Mor in 1425 was Kedros able to assert its sovereignity, after Kedrosi forces led by Azlêm Tzačavri defeated forces led by his father, Count Tzačas of Kedros. The independence of Kedros was recognised by Terminia in the Treaty of Zaval, signed in 1430, and Tzačavri was proclaimed King of Kedros the next year.
During the 16th century, Kedros became one of the dominant powers in Low Letsatia. As part of the Commonwealth of Low Letsatia, its influence rivalled that of Grand Duchy of Gshons.
Its capital and largest city and metropolis is Manan, a significant economic hub and global city. Other major urban areas include Avis, Terches, Vihas and Nievy.
