Ïzhaa was the first (and only) empress over the Empire. Many historians believe that the only reason Ïzhaa was able to ascend to the throne at all was because Vusur and Vuur did not have any children, so the crown defaulted to the next sibling, which would have been their youngest brother, Sasan. Sasan had two children, Ïzhaa and Kaṡar. Kaṡar had 'died' in battle, which left Ïzhaa.
