The National Institute for Civil Service(Harish: koixo kuvor taiketinchata) is an educational institute aimed for the training of civil servants. The headquarter is in Tzulkeyo, but it has branches in major cities like Ozil, Xoranka and Polko. The National Institute for Civil Service belongs to the National Civil Service Commission, a ministry-level policy-making body belonging to the executive branch of the Tzulhonic government.

Each year about 20,000 civil servants get trained in branches of the National Institute for Civil Service in Tzulhon. All new civil servants are sent to the institute to receive basic trainings necessary for civil servants right after passing the civil servant exam, the duration of the basic training is usually 4 weeks, and the trainees receive trainings in relevant knowledge, techniques, integrity, and attitudes. After the basic training, trainess receive on-site trainings for 4 months to ensure that their knowledge is applicable in real settings; however, active civil servants with good potentials may also attend to the National Institute for Civil Service to be trained as candidates for senior civil servants.

National Institute for Civil Service is a training institution and does not award degrees, civil servants that want to attain a formal degree need to attend to a regular college for on-the-job trainings.

History

The National Institute for Civil Service was formed under the "Civil Servant Training Act" enacted in 1990. The first instiitue was formed in Tzulkeyo in 1991 and is in charge of all kinds of official trainings and education related to civil service.
