Politics of Liosol
Liosol is a semi-parliamentary system. The incumbent King is head of state but effectively has no power, shifting it to the Prime Minister, The Ministry, and House of Status. The Ministry is elected every five years while the House of Status rotates every five years depending on population shifts. The Prime Minister selects his own cabinet from popular parties while the House of Status is divided up, not by provinces, but by the enumerated votes of the Alotol people.

Prime Minister
The Prime Minister of Liosol is head of the Upper House. He approves drafts of laws in the Ministry and sends them to the House of Status.

The Ministry
The Upper House of Liosol's parliament is referred to as the Ministry. It has the sole power of proposition, and the lower house exists only to vote on, amend or repeal laws given by that cabinet. This leads to the leading government having a lot more power to change laws faster.
