Qatill is a South Osveraali language of the Qatillo-Jilian branch. It is the official language of Qatilluu and also a minority language in Jilu Lyladna, spoken by more than 10 million people. About 90 percent of the speakers are dalar.
The phonology of Qatill is unique among the Osveraali languages. It has no voiced plosives and completely lacks fricative phonemes, making its consonant inventory the smallest on Atsiq. Its vowel system is also greatly reduced when compared to its relatives, especially the vowel-heavy Lyladnese, with only three short and three long vowels plus the schwa and two diphthongs.
