Qazan cards, known as Tozbaśluquń, meaning 'eastern cards' is the traditional and preferred set of playing cards used in Qazania. Almost all native Qazan card games use this set. Other games which do not traditional use Qazan cards are commonly adapted into this set within Qazania, namely Emona and Odibu are profound examples of foreign card games played moderately in Qazania.

Qazan cards are based off of Maunwe - a playing card set originating from Qonklaks. The cards evolved through incorporating more elements of religion.

Traditionally, the Qazan cards consist of 4 suits of normal cards - Amaranth, Stick, Triangles and Crosses (from largest to smallest) with numbers ranging from 1-9. There are 4 copies of each of these cards. There are also 3 suits of deity cards based off of deities in Sidharkuv and Qaldaism -

  • Blue deity cards - these are deities pertaining to reincarnation: Gehen, Zurmuh, Havar, Kogok(Quǵuq) and Bozik(Büjik).
  • Green deity cards - these are deities connected with elements: Zalaz, Turvu(Turuw), Sunan and Vihid
  • Black deity cards - these are deities which represent the Taf and the Incarnate - Jet(Jeti), Kyal(Keli), Kari(Käri) and Tavju(Tawju)

Around the late 16th century and early 17th century, the first modifications of the Qazan deck came about following the introduction of 9 planet cards; cards relating to planets in Sidharkuv and Qaldaism. Originally these planet cards only exist with 1 copy but ever since Xoi became popular between the 17th and 18th century, the planet cards now exist with 4 copies of each card.

Red deity cards - deities related to life - Tamruud(Tamruu), Kades(Kädes) and Gerus(Ǵarus) are not introduced until the mid 17th century surprisingly, although the cards are used in virtually every Qazan card game which uses deity cards. One might notice that the red deity cards exist as a trio rather than a quartet unlike other deity cards, and as a result Juulika(Juulyqa) was introduced as a card from the late 17th century onwards. Since then the Qazan card set have remained unchanged.
