Cardinal: vühø̃ (pl.) |
Etymology
From Atruozan vüzë ("ten") + hõvo ("nine") + -böj (construct state). This, effectively "ten's nine", was an older and now-antiquated method of saying "nineteen" using an obsolete method for producing numbers additively. This was followed by non-standard vowel harmonisation to the initial vowel, likely under influence of /ɥ/.

Usage notes
Used adjectivally, where numerals behave as adjectives and are the closest to the noun of any present, the noun must be plural for it to express the cardinal meaning. Else, it represents the ordinal numeral "nineteenth". It is generally represented in writing by its numeral glyph, represented in romanisation by "J" (as the system is vigesimal).
