Tien'a ni Tirina rıl Losa is the current sarda of Sanmra, along with her husband Ledan. After the assassination of Lıniıl and subsequent abdication by Asihan, the Nuoda elected Tien'a and Ledan for the position of sarda. Since her ascension in 1999, she has focused on expanding Sanmra's economic influence through increased exportation of goods, as well as continuing the liberal view of international relations promoted by her predecessor Lıniıl.

Personal life

Tien'a was born into the Losa family, to Edara ni Tirina (rıl Aulane) and Usru ni Tirina. [something about her early life] [something about marrying Ledan and his family]

Career as nuoda

Shortly after their marriage, Tien'a and Ledan began to be politically active, successfully running for nuoda of Sakaran. As a legislator, Tien'a soon established her niche focusing on financial and economic matters. From her earliest years in the Nuoda, she became known for frequently challenging the assumptions of other legislators on these matters, sharply questioning them on the ramifications of their policies. Her efforts led directly to the establishment of the Finance Committee, providing financial analysis of all proposals allocating over a certain amount of money. While Tien'a was initially criticized for her seeming disrespect of established legislators, many of her early detractors later acknowledged her expertise and increasingly followed her lead in economic proposals.

Election as sarda

In early fall of 1999, Lıniıl, current sarda, was assassinated by an unknown assailant. The day after her death, her husband Asihan wrote a letter to the Nuoda, indicating an immediate abdication of his own position as sarda. While abdication of a surviving sarda is normal upon the death of their partner, the abdication date is typically set for several weeks or even months in the future, to allow time for a smooth transition of authority and selection of a new pair of individuals as sarda. The suddenness of Asihan's abdication forced the nuoda to hold an emergency election, as Sanmra's legal code forbids almost all government business while the position of sarda is vacant. Two dozen candidates were debated during the marathon legislative session that lasted nearly 27 hours. Ultimately, only one pair of candidates fulfilled the esoteric requirements for the position, as well as received the supermajority of approving votes (minimum 80%), to be chosen as the new sarda: Tien'a and Ledan.
