It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited areas in the world, with human presence dating back over 100,000 years and the first signs of permanent settlement dating to over 5,500 years ago. Since around 980 BCE, the island was a popular spot for Iovist clergy communities to settle; its proximity to Madrana only increased the influx of settlers and clergymen who chose to live there; later on, several holy orders also set up on the island. The island is well-known for being the home of the famous Yobátmás dynasty, which is the dynasty that created and almost exclusively ruled the Grand Ekuostian Empire. | ||
