Tomeria (Tomerian: Tomërul [ˈtomɜrʊl]), officially the Commonwealth of Tomeria, is a country located in eastern Alpa. It is northeast of Sanmra, southeast of Arrym, and west of the North Sea.
The Tomeric people have inhabited eastern Alpa since at least the tenth century CE, which until unification in 1701, resided in various smaller kingdoms. In the decades following the formation of the new Commonwealth, Tomeria experienced a boom in wealth and trade. The population also increased significantly throughout the latter half of the eighteenth century, prompting expansion northward until King Evlär signed Decree of Disistance in 1814, to prevent potential conflict with Arrymian tribes.
Today, Tomerian maintains its cultural identity in a modern world. The native religion, Tamrism, plays a keystone role in the nations society, maintaining a common morality and sense of civil cooperation with over 90% of the nation being adherents. The monarchy shares power with an elected legislature, which in turn works with varying provincial assemblies. The country thrives of its oil, lumber, and fishing industries. Tomeria's government supports the United Tamrist Mission, a major charity that distributes medical and financial aid to needy families worldwide.
