Vasen (sometimes written as Vas en), also called Vaniuan billiards, is a category of skill-based indoor table sports found in Vaniu which usually involves a mallet and a short blunt stick called a chisel being used to strike billiard balls on a cloth-covered stadium-shaped table, often times with the edges curving up and having a rounded trench surrounding it.
There are three major subdivisions of games within Vasen:
- • Vilo Vasen, or Trench Vasen, referring to games that make use of a convex ring of elevated surface which is typically used as a goal.
- • Actir Vasen, or Flat Vasen, referring to games that only make use of the central field.
- • Bonce Vasen, or Pocket Vasen, referring to games that use pockets in the table to score points.
