The current system of government has a ceremonial monarch called the Leiku, and a more powerful position called the Leipe Kuwehana lei Kuwe Kauheite Walanei, or Governmental Assistant to the Leiku of the National Walani Government. This position is often shortened to Kuwehana, and has general militaristic control of the nations military. It is also responsible for organizing the Commonwealth district governments.
Administrative divisions
Commonwealth Districts are semi-autonomous regions in the Walani Commonwealth. These districts are created directly by the Kuwehana, and can be dissolved if the Kuwehana decides that it is necessary. The political rights of citizens in these districts is also outlined by the Kuwehana upon creation.
