The Yahara (/jǝˈhɑːɹǝ/; Yaharan: Yähärä /jɑˈhɑɹɒ/; also known as the Yaharan River) is the largest river in Lower Boroso, and the longest river in Yaxarhayut. It runs from Lake Vyaungodenhara at the city of Terenarth and flows east through Yaxarhayut to the Arimizziya Ocean at the city of Yítsmä. It is often called, in Yaharan, the "Mother River" and the "Source of Life".

Etymology
The name Yähärä is of unknown origin, and is believed to be the root of the Yaharan word for rivers, xärä. Little can be deduced about its origin, as the river's name invariably appears in even the oldest Old Yaharan texts, as well as surviving Zikish texts. The Yennodorian name, Jahára is a direct borrowing from Yaharan.
