Zakadia (Cagre: Sakadia [IPA]), officially the People's Confederation of Zakadia, is a proud Kavrinh nation located in the heart of Southern Boroso. It gained independence from the Fáknir Empire in 1885. Relationships with Heoroma and Yakormonyo has made it a Kúúlist nation in 1935, which it has retained until today in spite of pressure from its neighboring nations. Its main industries are logging and agriculture; most of its former lush forests have been converted into farmland. Honor and Valor are the most important virtues in the land, and there is still a form of chivalry, especially in the city of Myrdana.

Etymology

Zakadia comes from the name of Zakhadéa, an ancient kingdom in Cagras, from the Old Ogrovic vocative of "zakhat" (tree).

Administrative divisions

The nation is divided into three regions, the Cagre Region (Capital: Utakan), the Myrian Region (Capital: Myrdana), and the Ogrovic Region (Capital: Zerras). Under these two regions are 8 oblasts, and under these are a total of 47 districts, with Hamorikios having the most districts (8).

Foreign relations

Zakadia is an isolated country with its only diplomatic ties being Yakormonyo, Heoroma, Yahara and the Fals Empire. It hasn't opened relations with Yaxarhayut yet.

Yakormonyo

Monyo-Zakadian relations began in 1447 when the Tumonsípiman Union discovered the Hamorikios Confederation and Myria. In order to forge a diplomatic alliance, Tumonsípiman helped Hamorikios invade Myria, splitting the kingdom into two. Relations then continued in spite the independence of the anti-Cagre Samijia in 1459, however was ceased when Yahara invaded Tumonsípiman in 1463. Relations then reopened in 1763, exactly 300 years later, after the newly-unified Yakormonyo sent diplomatic missions to Zakadia. The Monyo embassy in Zakadia opened in 1765 in Utakan, and the Zakadian embassy in Monyo opened two years later in Notumonn.

After the rise of Kúúlist Heoroma and Yakormonyo, Kúúlist influence began seeping into Zakadia, and the government officially changed into a Kúúlist one in 1935. At the time Monyo-Zakadian relations were at its all-time high, and the two supported Heoroma in the Fourth Race War, in spite of the overthrow of the Kúúlist government in Yakormonyo. For a time afterward, the territories of Híkakras and Xosa were disputed between the two, but the tension has greatly subsided. Currently the two nations are on good terms with each other, and are partners in trade and diplomacy.
