Čegczaa (IPA: /t͡ʃeɣʝɑ:/) is a city in Lhavres, notable for its large Fáknir population. It is perhaps best known around the country as the city whose suburbs are the setting of the widely popular sitcom, Kosel Ziitütaa.

Etymology

History

The area was inhabited for at least 70,000 years by Kavs, but the city itself wasn't founded until 150 CE as a southern march for the Lhav Empire to defend against armies from the south. It primarily operated as a military fort with a few services (food and quarter) for traveling merchants until the 1770s, when its hinterlands were settled and developed by migrant Fáknirs. The migrants settled the lands unlawfully, causing a few notorious conflicts between them and the local military forces. In 1811, the Setyal Empire attempted to conquer the city, but were famously held at bay by militias primarily comprised of the Fáknir migrants long enough for Konaacza to send forces south to flank. In 1844 after the nation of Lhavres was founded, Čegczaa was incorporated at the outset with the Fals of southwestern Lhavres being officially recognized as citizens of the country.
