Ad Mááje (Terminian: X; born 28 May 1958) is an Amerhani politician and the former President of Amerhan from 2005-2007. Mááje’s time as President was wracked by political instability and corruption due to his controversial decisions regarding the Amerhani government. As a member of the Amerhani Way Party and an opponent of Terminian Federalism, he proposed his own Amerhani System of government. These mismanaged and unpopular reforms lead to mass opposition both by the public and by those within the Amerhani government, leading to his resignation in 2007.

Amerhani System

Mááje’s “Amerhani System” was his proposed restructure of the Amerhani government for what he believed to be the Amerhani people rather than the Terminian people. It involved a radical departure from traditional Terminian Federalism and instead to a more unitary system of government. Though Mááje was Anti-Terminian in several ways, he did seek to replicate the success of post-independence Cerman with extreme privatization. X

Reforms and resignation

Though the restructured Amerhani parliament was reluctant to follow the same economic policies as Cerman, Mááje’s reforms were passed and implemented largely unmodified. This was a mistake, as Mááje’s hard-dekúúlisation had disastrous effects on the Amerhani economy, leading to mass protests around the country. These reforms also lost him his support in the Amerhani Way Party, and allegations of corruption and bribery began to rock his administration. On February 11th, Mááje resigned as President. Though he remains politically active, insisting his reforms just needed more time, he does not hold much support, and was kicked from the Amerhani Way Party following his resignation.
