Semeret (Seremesi: Isosemjéry, Norjihani: Isasmirá), officially the Confederation of the Semeret, is a country located in South Baredina, bordered by Norjihan to the west and Istan to the north. The country has a population of around 3.4 million, although it is difficult to gather an accurate figure as no official censuses have ever been taken, and there is a large nomadic group who live mostly in the deserts to the east and the north. The capital, Sarened, is on the Reddr River, formerly being part of the town of Nastr-Sarened during the Norjihani period of control before the river became the border, and so Nastr and Sarened were split up; Nastr, or Nastr-Sarened, is the Norjihani half and Sarened is the eastern half and capital of the country.

Semeret is a loose confederation, with a government in Sarened, but it has little control over large swathes of the country. Recently, it has tried to exert greater control under the leadership of Lynkewenso (President) Fer Arunystir, but that has caused the nomadic tribes to become agitated and resist the efforts of the government, leading to tensions and making an already small and decentralised economy even less effective; the country has the smallest economy in South Baredina. The country historically has been a collection of Baredan tribal groups who, under Norjihani influence, grouped together to form a confederation.
