The Vodholk People are the largest extant ethnic group of the vodholk species (for whom it is named), accounting for nearly two thirds of the total population. They are primarily located in Achiyitqana and its territory Puulsuwa.
History
During the long confrontation between H. sapiens and H. surdus populations early in the history of Miraria, this was one of few ethnic groups that was able to survive in decent numbers. It is hypothesized that the high incidence of deafness for which the vodholk species is known was originally confined largely to this ethnic group but, after the population bottleneck and near-extinction of the species, it spread throughout the remaining population.
