Chasan is an Ngerupic language spoken by a few thousand Chasan tribespeople in Chasan Valley, Magali. It is considered one of the most divergent Ngerupic languages, having evolved a highly complex tone system and clicks. It is considered highly endangered, and language conservation efforts are put in place by the Magalese government.
Classification
Chasan is considered an Ounyu language, a branch of the Ngerupic family.
