Cherrin-Sanklj International Airport (Soptenese: kenạtavạ ẹo jolnem ḉeryn sankliw) is an airport located in the municipality of Sanklij, Soptemia, 8 kilometers south of Cherrin. It serves the city of Cherrin, as well as Obe Anstemen. It is the largest airport in Soptemia by both freight and passenger operations, and is the base of operations for Air Klinkal. It was established outside of the limits of Cherrin in 1937 in order to accomodate future growth.

History

Terminal

The Airport consits of a single passenger terminal, with six concourses Ticketing and baggage areas are located in a building known as the main terminal. Concourses A and F are located adjacent to the main terminal, while concourses B, C, D and E are located further away, being arranged an an 'x' shape, with a walkway that connects the center of the 'x' to the main terminal. Most of the terminal dates from the 1980s.

Concourse A is the oldest part of the terminal. It primarily serves foriegn airlines from within The Charter. Concourse B serves most domestic flights. Concourses C, D, and E are primarily home to Air Klinkal's international operations, though other airlines also use Concourse E. Concourse F is the newest part of the airport, being completed in 2016. It serves all flights arriving from countries with whom Soptemia does not have visa agreements.

Air Klinkal Operates flights to many locations, mostly in Soltenna and Vaniua, but some much further away.

Ground Transportation

The Airport is served by two rail lines, the Cherrin Metro Silver Line, and main-line trains on a branch off of the Cherrin-Vapojano main line. It is also served by several bus routes. The Airport is also easily accessible by road, by highway S2, which terminates a few kilometers northwest of the airport.
