Liosol is a unitary semi-parliamentary constitutional monarchy. Members of the Kajeth get their seats through nationwide general elections, or in special elections. General elections are held every five years but may be held earlier in the event of a vote of no confidence, resignation, or death. The most recent election took place 21 May 2019.
Liosol has a multi-party system due to a mixed-member proportional (MMP) voting system. The current ruling coalition government is led by Pra Densok with Hansobel as the majority party.
Voting process
Liosol had multiple voting systems until the Kajeth voted in 1901 to adopt a nationwide mixed-member proportional voting system. Some communities continue using their former systems for non-national elections.
Liosol uses a mixed-member proportional system. Citizens are allotted two votes: one for the local representative of their gań, who will serve in the Ministry; and one for their party of choice, which will determine party percentages in the House of Status. In order for a party to have members in the Kajeth, they must either obtain 5 percent of the party vote for the House of Status or win a seat in the Ministry.

2019 general elections
Every election cycle their are two elections: the national and internal election. The national election is the process by which all eligible citizens vote for representation in the Kajeth whereas the internal election in held in the House of Status to determine the Chancellor of the House, the second highest position in the Alotol government, and leaders of various committees and the regional governments. This latter election is held a month after the national election, after new members of the Kajeth have been inaugurated. Typically the Ministry chooses which candidate would help them the most, or goes by the recommendation of the Prime Minister elect. Some have argued that this election is more important than the national one because the Chancellor of the House leads debates and calls bills to a vote in the lower house.
