The Fáknir Republic (Fáknir: Enfaitkitá Kefákn E, Thaaft: Veedütaa Faaknir) is a country located in central Boroso. It is bordered by the Fals Empire in the east and the countries of Yakormonyo and the Confederation of Lower Boroso in the south. The country is situation primarily around the Isthmus of Katar, which separates Upper Boroso from Lower Boroso, and additionally stretches around most of the western half of the Gulan Sea.
The country broke away from the Fals Empire in the 2017-2019 Fáknir civil war and has remained relatively stable since.
The country is divided into three primary climate zones, with most of the north and north-west covered in grassland and steppes, the south consisting of temperate forest. A band of of mediterranean and subtropic climates divide the two major zones, and house most of the country's population.
With a population of NUM million, of which NUM percent is Fals, the Republic is classified as one of the two "Fals nations" together with the Fals Empire. The Republic is a multiethnic country with a majority of Fáknirs, and Fáknir is the official language alongside Thaaft. Other large groups include Finns, Termians, and As, with numerous other minorities.
Its centrally located capital of Pfahfá, situated in the Isthmus of Katar, is an important hub for commerce and has a population of NUM. Its second largest city Edhu (formerly Bastaren) is also administratively important.
