Hranloc (Rocnaian: tranlok tranloc [ˈθɾæ̃ːlɒk]; Tullach: hranlok:a hranlocca [ˈʰr̥aloˌʰkːa]), officially the Republic of Hranloc, is a landlocked country in northern Ystel. It is bordered by Varencub and Ancorub to the north, Tullachia to the east, Saant to the west and Gabolonia to the south. With a land area of 21,538 square kilometres (8,316 sq mi), Hranloc has a humid continental clime. According to the 2018 Tullach census, Hranloc has a population of 32,660, with Respix serving as both the capital and largest city.
Hranloc formed part of the Tullach Chieftaincies until its sudden political collapse on February 28th 2024, when the Hranloquian Regional Council, with the support of the separatist Rocnaian-led Rebirth Party and the Tullachian government, passed a law absolving itself from the union on 13th March 2024. The council's confirmation of seeking independence took longer in Hranloc due to political opposition from Tullach minorities, however such protests died down after Tullachia itself affirmed its support. Hranloc successfully became a member of the Ystelian Community and the Asuran Economic International Oceanic Union on 1st April 2024.
Currently, Hranloc sees its entire territory claimed by Rocnaia, however these claims are unrecognised internationally and the Hranloquian government maintains executive jurisdiction over its land.
