The Independent Republic of Ekvibron was a short-lived successor state to the Federal Republic of Tisnoij which declared independence on 29 May 1997. The entire existence of this state can be contained within the period of the breakup of the Federal Republic of Tisnoij, with the country absorbed into the Temedzene successor state to the Federal Republic in December 1997. From December 1997 until the signing of the Articles of Fueraficos Re-integration in November 1999, the state was organised as the Controlled Territory of the Fuerafic, before finally being integrated into the Republic of Temedzen within the Temedzene Federal Republic of Tisnoij as the Fuerafic region. While the other post-Tisnoijan states, Tsuinnia and Aifugon, attempted to support and relieve the embattled Ekvibro faction, Tsuinnia was only just holding back their own Temedzene invasion, and Aifugon would soon become involved in the Aifugonian Civil War, which would effectively cripple their warring capability. During its short existence, the state was bordered by the Uğēnama government of the Federal Republic of Tisnoij to the east, and by Asota to the west, to which most of the Ekvibro government fled after the invasion drove them from Ekvibron.
