Jesān (IPA: [d͡ʒɪˈsɑːn], Zinshan: Jesān, IPA: [ɖ͡ʐɵ.ˈsɒn]) is a city in Zinsha-Vogia, located in the Būcāmār Province in Zinsha and capital of the Jesān Governorate. It was founded in 1140 CE, before the Great Horde took over the area, making it the oldest city in Zinsha-Vogia and the only still-standing pre-Great-Horde city. It was built on the River X, a tributary of the River Jamshir and now has a population of 246,000 (census 2015).
The name 'Jesān' comes from je, "old" and sān, "village". This is due to the fact that it is the oldest city in Zinsha-Vogia.
