Kahat (Juhash: Kahat [kɒ.hɒt], also [kɒ.vɒt]) is the capital and largest city of Juhashka as well as one of its 26 provinces. It is located on the banks of the Ka River in east central Juhashka.
Originally founded by Nivoic tribes in XXXX, Kahat was already a major settlement when it was conquered by the Sunrise Horde in XXXX. It served as the capital of the Galkhai Dynasty from XXXX to XXXX, and as the capital of the Sunrise Kingdom of the Juhash from 1721 to 1922. Following the Balkist Revolution, the capital was moved west to Täräbit and would not return to Kahat until after the Silent Revolution in 1986.
