Orzun (Hemeshi: Osun, IPA: /ˈoʂun/), officially the People's Republic of Orzun, is a country located in the Hemesh Peninsula in Ekuosia. It borders Fyevan to the west, Argeyaz Bay to the north, and Sroyos to the southeast. Orzun's capital is located in Tafsaj, along with that of neighboring Sroyos. Across the Gulf of Amun lies the Kingdom of Hemesh, and across the Argeyaz Bay lies Zhinayak and the Algazi Union, though none share a land border with Orzun.
Due to its position on the north of the Hemesh Peninsula, the area of modern-day Orzun has been exposed to, and absorbed influence from, numerous foreign cultures, including Vomzi, Letsatian, Terminian, Algazi, Bavkir, and Norjihani. Today, Orzun is the only Iovist-majority country on the Hemesh Peninsula, albeit with large Pashaist and Gennist minorities.
After the Great Ekuosian War, Orzun was occupied by soldiers from the Helsonian Union. Negotiations to form a united Hemeshi state failed, and in 1951 a Kuulist government was installed. Initially regarded as a Helsonian satellite state, Orzun managed to outlive Helsonia and today remains the only Kuulist state in Ekuosia. In 2008 the Kuulist government initiated a series of economic and political reforms, beginning a shift from a Kuulist to a mixed-market economy. Today, Orzun’s GDP growth rate is among the highest in the world. Despite this, it remains one the poorest countries in Ekuosia.

Due to its position on the interior side of the Hemesh Peninsula, Orzun's climate is predominantly arid and semi-arid. Temperatures are typically moderate, but are subject to far more variation than in other parts of the peninsula that border open ocean.
