Politics of Aifugon

The Politics of Aifugon takes place in the framework of a federal parliamentary constitutional democracy under a directorial republic, whereby executive power is vested in the Executive Council, and legislative power in the Council of Ministers. Members of the Council of Ministers are chosen according to a proportional representation system.
The judiciary is independent of the legislative and executive, itself being operated by a dual internal-external system, with a portion of the judiciary operated by international entities. The executive too, while not containing international elements, is moderated by an international aide, the Director of the Executive.
Aifugon as a peaceful post-civil war state has only existed since 2015, and as such it has not been given much chance to prove its democratic institutions, nor for major issues to emerge into the international spotlight.
