The Qonklese Crisis (also known as the Second Soltennan War) was a series of events that took place in October of 2015, leading to tension within Soltenna and surrounding regions.

Pre-War Developments

  • On the 21st of September, bombings by local Kuulist sympathizers took place across Liosol in response to Prime Minister Cha Matinh's reelection. Cheb Konashi, believed to be QonCom's Manchurian candidate in the 2015 presidential race, went missing shortly after and was later revealed to be seeking asylum in Qonklaks. Alotol-Qonks relations were severely strained following these events and eventually culminated in the October 8th General Assembly.

Course of War

  • While tension had been building for some time, it is argued that the unusual General Assembly that took place in Liosol's capital on the 8th may have been the catalyst for the anti-Qonklese rhetoric in the Soltenna Council. The government of Liosol announced that Statist and Orthodox Kuulism had no place in modern Soltenna, in light of the September 21st bombings allegedly orchestrated by the Qonklese government.
  • Qonklaks withdrew from the Soltenna Council and rejected the Free Trade Agreement, causing economic stress on its major importers.
