The Second Siyezi War of Independence (Damserz:), also called the Second Vos-Siyezi War, or, in Siyezan, the Necessary War (Árjil bangú) was a military conflict fought between the (something) dynasty of Vosan and the Kingdom of Siyezan, with support from the Balak Empire. It ignited in the context of a generalised economic crisis, which caused popular unrest across Vaniua, which in Siyezan led to violent confrontations and the seizure of power of Arevet Veshabin, which dissolved the National Council and forced king Ardzin III to name him prime minister. Under his regime, he aspired to make Siyezan fully independent from Vosan in both interior and exterior policies. Initially, Vosan showed no response due in part to their fragile economic state, but as emperor (someone) became aware that Vosan's position was compromised and the effects it could bring, he attempted to being the country back into Vos influence.

Background

Siyezan had nominally been a Vos protectorate since 1834. As part of this status, Siyezan lost the ability to independently decide it's own foreign policy, and later would be forced to establish certain commercial treaties with Vosan, namely regarding the near-monopoly Vosan had on Siyezi coal. However, Vosan could not always project it's power and undercover commerce allowed Siyezan to keep functioning as it had before the protectorate status.

Aftermath

Vosan's defeat resounded across the region, with many perceiving the imperial goverent had humiliated Vosan, causing many nationalists seeking to replace it. Expenses from the war and the lose of Siyezi coal worsened the economic crisis and is considered one of the main factors that affected the rise of Sannism in Vosan.
In Siyezan, the war was perceived as one of the greatest national victories in the country's history, but despite that, civil unrest would show it's presence for the next years.
