Sedhishum'a (Osuri Seđícúḿa /sèðíʃúʘ̃ɐ̀/, Adzamasi Seđišompa /sɛðɪʃompa/) is a major city in Tabiqa and the capital of the province of Osuria. Historically it served as the seat of the short-lived Osuri Empire.
Etymology
The name comes from the Osuri for "rain pasture," referring to the fertile grassland in the valley, a known long-time destination for desert nomads.
