South Baredina is one of the major geographical regions of Baredina. It consists of all the land on the continent that is located south of the Central Baredinan Mountains. While culturally and linguistically varied, with some cultures bleeding over the mountain ranges, the region can be thought of in terms of four vertical strips, with east and west coastal areas separated from two dominating valleys by low mountain ranges. These two interior valley-plateau systems are separated by the Wõmapanutsu Mountains, a tall range that acts as the spine of the region and contains its highest peak, Mount Mukla, in the south. It is the third largest and among the least densely populated regions, and the contains the southernmost point of land on Sahar, though Ystel is on average farther south.
