History
Pre-History
The prehistorical period experienced the arrival of the Bone-hook peoples into the area, which have left artefacts across the country, as well as the Fan and Mei people. It is believed that the Fan, Mei and Bone-hook people make up the ancestors of the modern Taanttic people.
Antiquity
This period is marked by the foundation of a number of city-states. The foundation of the great cities: Hayaf, Yvo, Kerezh, and Pakat; happened during this period.
Classical
In the year 567, the empire of Hayaf was formed from the ambitions of Iyud. This empire collapsed in the year 812 with the fracturing of the provinces after the death of its last emperor. The empire of Yvo was formed in 941 when TBD
Imperial
The lands of modern-day Taanttu were conquered by the Bavkir Empire in the year 1286 by the Great King Kumruud "the possessed". This also marks the beginning of the Imperial period of Taanttic history. This region is marked by a significant increase in stability in comparison to the rest of Taanttic history, as the Imperial authority divided the Taanttic region into provinces along religious, tribal, and cultural boundaries, and allowed each region to retain its identity, to avoid instability and insurrections in the area. The lands would be governed for the next few centuries, before its succession from the crown in the year 1701, when the lords of the north rebelled.
Post-Imperial
In the years following the collapse of the Bavkir empire, the Taanttic kingdoms again shattered into their prospective lordships, eventually coming under influence of the Letzian Crown. It is during this period that the northern province near Pakat was taken by the Terminia.
Modern
The modern-day nation was formed from [To Be Determined]. In spite of this, the modern state is still racked with Ideological, Tribal, Cultural and Religious conflicts dating back centuries.

Politics
Government
As the nation is divided into multiple regions with different religions and political affiliations, Taanttu is politically diverse. While this is allowed by the central government, each of the regions must submit to the authority of Hayaf and its high chief. Kerezh is a kuulist state, Yvo is a bavkir nationalist state, Pakat is an agrarian commune, and the Western March is a tribal kingdom.
Administrative divisions
Taanttu is divided into various sub national entities that have semi-autonomous rulership over their own territory. Hayaf is synonymous with the central government, being the core territory administered by the nation. Pakat is the smallest and poorest of these divisions, in the northeast of the country. With no large cities of its own, it is the most reliant on the central government to supplement its economy. Yvo, centered around the city of Yvo, is the next largest autonomous region in the country. Within Yvo is the autonomous region centered around the city of Yvo, which is ruled by the Matriarch of Yvo. The next largest autonomous region is the march of the west, which was created from the independent tribal kingdoms at the end of Hayaf's expansion. Finally, the region of Kerezh is the last autonomous region.
