The Valywa people are the indigenous people of the islands south of mainland Quaxin Xun.
Language
Traditionally, the Valywa speak Walyavalywa, an Ounyu language of the Ngerupic family. Increasingly, the Hlung language of mainland Quaxin Xun has become the predominant language of younger and urban Valywa people.
Cuisine
The Valywa people's cuisine makes heavy use of palm products, including a palm wine called ajálu, the vinegar produced from it called jùma, and a soft water buffalo cheese acidified by jùma called pabuľma. Their cuisine also makes use of fish, shellfish, and honey, usually gathered from artificial beehives called palay.
